Tribeca’s interns will complete a comprehensive six-month programme that exposes them to the intricacies and nuances of the world of public relations. The intention is for each one to emerge from the programme able to hold their own in a fast-paced agency environment, and having honed the practical skills they need to forge a successful career in public relations.
Tshepiso Malinga holds National and Advanced Diplomas in Public Relations Management from the Vaal University of Technology and has already worked in radio. He is passionate about books, travel and fashion.
Kgothatso Tema holds a Diploma in Public Relations and Communication from the University of Johannesburg, where she was a mentor for the Students’ Public Relations Association. She has also volunteered at student support organisations, offering younger students guidance and insights on how to navigate student life and plan their course programmes.
‘Our intention is to make each intern work-ready, so they are trained to gain all the skills we expect from a junior account executive. Over the years we have been proud to offer a permanent role in our agency to most interns who have completed their internships,’ said Nicky James, managing director of Tribeca Public Relations.
