I am delighted to announce that we are ready to take the first step in this journey with the promotion of Songelwa to deputy Managing Director.’

Songelwa has worked at H+K since April 2016 and in her most recent role has led the Consumer, Lifestyle + FMCG practice at the company, which she has helped to grow into a powerhouse over the last couple of years, expanding H+K’s client footprint to include tourism, retail and fashion and consumer tech. Throughout her 13-year career, Songelwa has worked on a variety of client accounts across different sectors.

‘Hill+Knowlton Strategies has a deserved reputation as the leading strategic PR agency globally. Leppington-Clark added, ‘Songelwa has strong marketing, presentation and communication skills. She is able to motivate and lead individuals and teams, as well as effectively interface with all levels of business leaders. She is creative, imaginative and innovative, while also being organised and detail-orientated. She works well under pressure, enjoys a challenge, is extremely adaptable and able to learn quickly. I have seen Songelwa’s growth and development over the past few years and I couldn’t be happier to have her by my side for this next chapter in H+K South Africa’s history.’
