Moving Tactics Helps Build A Strong Digital Signage Industry With SME Supplier Development

Moving Tactics is boosting the South African digital signage industry through SME supplier development.

To do this, we have worked with a number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to cultivate their businesses by referring work to them and providing them with financial assistance to purchase equipment, grow their teams and provide ongoing development of their skills,’ said Chris Day, Managing Director at Moving Tactics.

One such supplier that has benefitted from working alongside Moving Tactics is Grow Digital, which is run by Wendell Lindhorst. The company was started in 2015 and supplies technical support and maintenance to Moving Tactics. Through this collaboration, Grow Digital has been able to expand its footprint and now services clients across the country. ‘We have worked hard on building a mutually beneficial association with Moving Tactics and a good relationship with their clients. It really does help that Moving Tactics supplies quality products, which makes achieving customer satisfaction so much easier,’ said Lindhorst.

Covid-19 badly affected the business during the first few weeks of lockdown, but they were able to bounce back. ‘Moving Tactics has always been of great value to us. The most direct way in which they have supported us through the years has been financially. They’ve also given us an opportunity to gain further knowledge in digital signage through technical support, workshops and training and they encourage us to take pride in what we do and how we service their clients,’ explained Lindhorst.

When asked what advice he would give to other small businesses to grow their brand, Lindhorst said, ‘Offer great customer service, attend networking events, understand your customers’ needs and stay focused.’

‘We encourage all companies who have the means to develop their SME supplier base and, in so doing, empower small business and develop a sustainable future for all,’ concluded Day.
